High Speed Steel (HSS), Polished
A dependable, general purpose drill designed to perform in a broad range of materials in the iron and steel families. Ideal for production, maintenance, or portible drilling jobs.
High Speed Steel (HSS), Left Hand
General purpose drill construction. Features a left hand helix for screw machine applications where spindles rotate counter clockwise. Left hand drills can also be used to drill out broken bolts.
High Speed Steel (HSS), Slow Spiral
Low helix drills are designed for drilling primarily in brass. The wide flutes promote better chip ejection.
High Speed Steel (HSS), Fast Spiral
The high helix angle and wide flute promote better chip ejection. Specially developed for drilling low tensile strength materials such as aluminum, zinc, soft steels, and some plastics.
High Speed Steel (HSS), EZ Torque
Parabolic flute design, effective in deep hole drilling of aluminum alloys and other low to medium tensile strength materials at higher feed rates. The 135° split point is self-centering and reduces thrust.
High Speed Steel (HSS), Surface Treated
A dependable, general purpose drill designed to perform in a broad range of materials in the iron and steel families. Ideal for production, maintenance, or portible drilling jobs. Surface treated with abrasion-resistant black oxide.
Carbide-Tipped
Features heavy-duty construction and heat treated body for optimum wear resistance and support of the carbide tip. Used in the production of cast iron, non-ferrous metals, andmany composite materials such as hard rubber or copper alloys. NOT recommend for drilling steel.
Tin-Coated
Superhard titanium nitride surface treatment improves drill life, chip ejection, and productivity; decreases horsepower requirements. Ideal for hard metals, work hardened stainless and other difficult to drill materials.
Cobalt Steel, HD Split Point
Manufactured to National Aerospace Standard 907. Made of heat resistant cobalt, they display higher red hardness which permits speeds up to 30% greater than high speed steel drills and are especially effective in drilling tough, high tensile strength materials like PH stainless steel, inconel, and titanium. The 135° split point is self-centering and reduces thrust. Sizes smaller than 1/16" have the 118° standard point.
High Speed Steel (HSS), HD Split Point
Manufactured to National Aerospace Standard 907, these drills are idaeal for portable or machine drilling of low tensile strength alloy materials. They have a black oxide surface treatment that is abrasion resistant, reduces ship welding and improves chip flow. the 135° split point is self-centering and reduces thrust. Sizes smaller than 1/16" have the 118° standard point.
